I did not read Vile Bodies, but there is a satirical comedy about a high London society in Brideshead Revisited as well. I was just as charmed as Charles to that aloof yet deeply Catholic Marchmain family with all its troubles and weakness. The breaking family caused me sadness all through the book. It is one of the bests I have read this year.
