And Sluizer has pretty much disowned the remake. A film has been made of
The Cave but hasn't as yet been released here. It's a fascinating tale of fate and free will, in much the same way
The Vanishing is.
By the way, no less than Stanley Kubrick considered the film a masterpiece.
