They've finally filled another of the empty fauteuils at the Academie Francaise, as Jean-Christophe Ruffin was elected to take over Henri Troyat's old seat. Prix Goncourt winner ! MD ! Ambassador to Senegal ! It can't have been too hard a call (and yet he only got two more votes than Olivier Germain-Thomas).
