Breathing, in various scientific and pseudo-scientific studies, has been shown to be rather superfluous, and even counterproductive.
Interesting how the human mind is addicted to it.
Take our Thomas, for example. Thinks that he can go without it for one minute "max". Let me tell you, Thomas, that you - and in fact anyone - can go without it for eternity.

All those beautifull things those oppressed in the communist countries were not allowed to share....
Though one must admit that breathing was free, so there was a degree of liberty after all.
Air if abused of, say by breathing like a maniac very quickly, could create dizziness which is not very productive.
So all these talk about restriction and dictature is a bit exagerated.
