Just for the tango alone, Argentina would rank as one of my favorite countries in the world. Argentina like the United States, Canada and Australia was a great big melting pot for European immigration in the 19th century drawing large numbers of people especially from Eastern and Southern Europe. The diversity from all that is reflected in its culture and is one reason IMO such a number of great writers come from there.
