JOhn Berryman is great fun.

“This is not a cultural event. This is entertainment!” shigekuni.

John Berryman, God among Poets shigekuni.

I find it impossible to read his poetry without hearing his drunken stagger now.

I like the girl's knee, but that old nutter next to her is some kicker. Now I know why I've never wanted to read Bukowski. I'm afraid my computer couldn't open the debate between long hair and baldness.

Here's a good one: Craig Ferguson with Alan Furst. Alan Furst is a very good writer of atmospheric WW2 espionage thrillers. As he puts it: novels about spies, not just spy novels. I like the part where he talks about writing the sex scenes.

Does anyone in that country actually think of that as a good morning? It may be Dan Brown and all, but it is also plain boring.

Maybe not an author but one of the greatest and most passionate man who ever live.
Here is a real Windmille fighter, someone who dreamed and lives impossible dreams.
He is not trying to sell something or to lecture,he talk openly with different words and i find facinating how to the point he often is.
And so much dillicatess, this incredible melange of strengh and fragility.

I have been looking for this interview for a while and i'm very happy to be able to show it to you (The 3 first are the same interview)
Goose pipple stuff.

1-about art and achivement.

2-About fear
YouTube - Jacques Brel talks about fear [english subtitles]

3-A man is achieved at 16-Love this one!
YouTube - Jacques Brel talks about life [english subtitles]

4-Stupidity is the evil fairy of the word -great agian...
YouTube - Jacques Brel talks about idleness [english subtitles]

and some different ones(not as good)

YouTube - interview brel - 1966 - english subtitles

and here
YouTube - interview brel - 1968 - english subtitles

Let me know what you thinks

Default Online author interviews

After watching the interview of Hilary Mantel Liam posted, I thought there must many other interviews online worth watching.

In Denmark, the Royal Library has something called "International Author Stage", where famous authors are interviewed and its recorded by our national TV.
Here is the webpage, where you, so far, can watch Salman Rushdie, Günter Grass and Jan Kjærstad. This will keep getting updated as they get it updated. Monica Ali should be on soon.

Den sorte diamant - dr.dk/Kultur/International_forfatterscene

The interviews are either in Danish, English or German.
