Translation from Russian into English

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!

I'm seeking your sage advice regarding the following matter. My father is a published author in Russia whose life long dream was to publish his books in the English language. During the span of the last five years we've been trying to find a professional literary translator who would be up for this task. We tried almost everything beginning from writing query letters to agents in the US, contacting foreign language departments in prominent universities, sending letters to translators of other Russian authors, and we even got duped by someone recommended to us by a friend who ended up not being a professional literary translator after all.

My father is not getting any younger (he's 73 years old) and i truly want to do anything possible to make his wish come true.
