"There are two motives for reading a book: one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it."

~ Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)

Hi miriring, I've made a thread specifically for this event. Can you tell us a little more about it? Has it been going for a while, or is it a new event?

Hye Stewart,
It is not the first time we have this writers Festival here.
Look at the least of the authors. I think it is very respectfull.
I am going tomorow to 2 sessions. One is with a portuguese writer Lidia Jorge who is a very interesting writer.
her books were translated into many languages. I have to check for the English translation. Sometimes the english translation is not so well...

The Literary Review mentioned this festival a couple of days ago and now mentions it again today, noting that there's a Palestine Literary Festival running concurrently with it. This time in the mention is regarding an article in the Christian Science Monitor, observing that the Israeli-Palestinian split even extends to literature.
