I read a review in Upsala Nya Tidning this morning about a so-called "anti-crime-novel" written by the Swedish author Stewe Claeson (pronounced Steve, as I believe, as Swedish does not distinguish between a v and a w).
This non-crime novel starts with the burial of the murderer, so that's where the anti- comes in. The idea is to get readers to think about the crime novel genre. But surely ignoring most crime novels would be just as effective. Because when negating something you are still drawing attention to its existence.
Have any of our Scandinavians read "Mördaren är död" (The Murderer is Dead)?
