    Norway Draumkvedet

Does anyone know a site with the norwegian poem "Draumkvedet" where I can read it online?

Lena, do you mean in English translation? You can find it in Norwegian at:

    Balladeoppskrift (TSB: b031, BIN: 1156)

    and variants at:

    Balladevariantar

I've not spotted a translation, yet. It appears to have been written down in many slightly differing versions in the 19th century, presumably by listening to a folk singer and writing it down.

I knew nothing whatsoever about Draumkvedet before you queried. But I chanced upon the variants while Googling. I was surprised how many variants there were. But that's the difference between folk poetry and poetry written from about 19th century onwards, which starts its life on paper.
