    Australia Australian Fiction since 1980s

Any authors come immediately to mind?

Outback fiction/ or authors representing Australian vistas . . .

    Ala
    Picnic at Hanging Rock.

I came across a crime writer, Peter Temple, his The Broken Shore caught my eye, three of his works appear to be available in an inexpensive anthology.

edit to add- I've just noticed the 'linked' topics below, so I'll begin there.

Peter Carey and David Malouf are the immediate ones. Coetzee doesn't count.

Les Murray is an interesting poet.
