    England William Blake

    EDITIONS?

I keep looking over Anthols of Blake's works, there's a leviathan of a Penguin Edition, at a thousand+ pages, but it's a much older edition, so it doesn't seem to have been republished, and Penguin have issued a 400 page 'selected poems' edition, which is new, or new-ish, so I fugure that's the replacement...

Has anybody got any Blake on their shelves, or could recommend and anthol or if you simply want to mention any favourite poems of Blakes, Songs of Innocence? , then please type away.

I have this at home. Excellent selection, although other than the Songs of Innocence & Experience, I don't dip into it very often. The so-called "prophetic" books are wellnigh unreadable.

Those are always really nice edtions Liam, and they last? I have some Faulkner in Everyman, and Poe's essays on literature. The trouble with the out of date editons by Penguin is they are yellowing and the price inflates, somewhat, because there are less copies available. Anyway, it's no big deal, I just wanted to dip into some Blake, sometime, not a burning ambition to read, but the local library, is curiously "Blakeless" but they may have something in storage, I've recently discovered that they have a whole subterranean section of goodies.
