Internal Server Error

The site was offline for me several hours earlier today. Glad that's been rectified.

A few days ago the site went down when a migration from one server to another seemed to drop the subdomain DNS reference, but that was easily fixable. Now, however, there seems to have been a crash on the new server, which has resulted us the loss of five days' worth of posts. I'm livid, as I'm sure others are who have taken time to draft up lengthy posts in that time.

The hosts have been great in all the years that I've used them, but now, with their recent buyout, they have just become the worst ever and I've been back and forth with their support team ironing out niggles left, right, and centre. I'm currently trying to find out whether the five lost days will be retrievable, but hitting a brick wall with support (perhaps a skeleton team, due to the festive period), but it's probably time to dispense with their services and find a host that's up to the job.

It has been confirmed the data from the past five days is not going to be retrievable. Apologies to those who put the effort into lengthy posts in that time. I will begin to look for new hosts. There is no longer any other option.

Sorry to Sevigne, too, as new members have been lost too.

Mirabell has just voiced my own fears.

I am completely, utterly, totally, irreversibly DEVASTATED.

I think I'll simply save my "longer" threads on my PC from now on, just in case this happens again. I can't believe my beautiful Welsh Literature thread is "swimming with the fishes."

Oh well. Hope this gets fixed soon.

The date is now 22nd August 2011, and the same thing seems to be happened. Please solve.
