I still can't log in automatically and get timed out. I tried re-bookmarking the home page, but it didn't work. I cleared my browser cache, too. It's only an irritation but I wish it could be fixed.

I follow the RSS feed, and very often when I click on a link, I get taken to URL2SHORT.NFO or something of the sort. Are those deleted threads or is there a problem? I wouldn't suspect the latter, but many of these threads seem to be perfectly valid ones.

Don't know what happened with the Viagra thing. That was bizarre.

To be honest, I'm just troubleshooting as I can't replicate the issue and I've resorted to googling for similar instances.

Why I can't see the current reading book on the right up corner of posts, with location and number of posts? I can't see even my choice of reading, as well as anybody elses.

They'll be back shortly. Book titles, flags, and a few other things were edits I made to the original template of the forum and, as I said above, I had to revert these to try and fix the issue with blank screens. I'm going to be updating the forum software in the near future to an improved version - just working on the look of it - and so the absence of the book titles is only a temporary measure. Likewise the abundance of flags.

When will the WYSIWYG be back up? Also, I follow the forum's RSS feed, and I regularly get redirected to URL2SHORT.INFO - free url redirection and masking service when I click on thread names.

I wasn't aware it was down. It's the default for all users. Might you just have the WYSIWYG setting turned off in your options?

That's interesting. I'll have to look into that. I know the feed is active as the forum still tweets all new threads based off it.

Nope, checked. All the old buttons are there, but they are unclickable. Also, I can see the HTML formatting when I quote.

Only some clicks lead to that place. Most come where they are supposed to. And, apart from that, the feed itself is working fine.

Did we experience any trouble today ? I was not able to access the site in the morning ( around 3:30 am GMT 9:00am IST ). It did not open the site, but came with an error ( pretty colorful screen) stating some permission expired or so..

Yes, the account was suspended by hosts. Was probably a gitch regarding a sharp spike of activity on the server which prevents overloading by turning off the account. It's happened before and support have fixed it within the hour (or two).

i'm aware there are unspoken policing of english on these boards, but i wonder if this is the best thing.

in posting here, i'm not submitting a paper to be graded after all, nor am i working for a group to insure that the bottom line is met -- or am i?

I'm assuming that most of us posting here know english well enuff that lack of capitalizations, alternative spelling for the sake of fun, and other such liberties taken doesn't affect our understanding of english to the extent we need take up arms against it and eradicate it lest it reflect poorly on us, the standard bearers of english on the internet.

it's too bad it's come to this. but i'm gonna stick around and have my say. so get used to it.

Go talk to ExplodedHeights, will you??? He (?) knows his English enough, better than enough, but I'll be damned if I can understand a WORD of what he (?) says.

Eric claims to have understood some of his (?) ramblings, which is a giant feat in itself, .

The dude (E.H.) needs subtitles, that's what!

I encountered this sub-posting on another chat website. Maybe someone is taking the mickey out of the WLF:

Quote:
I laaik Jeck Dohdle en especially ExplawdingHites. She is forst porson who took my attention to great Rassian novel which is cawled "Night Veezhion Gawggles" by dimeenyutive sexy-lovely Anna Fermanova. I am wawrshipping thees novel. I em onderstanding awl of Jeck Dohdle's wonnderful remblings. I em understanding speling of ExploB two.

I am only eenterested in poleecing postings that leck the capital letters.

You steek around. Feegure of fon, yah?
My only problem is with the humour. Shouldn't both the spelling and the purport of the joke be consistent? There's a sort of obscure mixture here. Too much spelling and too little humour.

faulknerian if you ask me. i suspect if you assume a premise and go with it instead of backtracking and trying to figure him out, that the two of you will get along just fine.

as to me chatting him up, i think he'll be offended.
