Hard to believe. Just a few months back, September of last year, I got to see him in Hay Festival Querétaro.
He presented a first novel of a very ambitious project about the history of Croatia and the Balcans which he said it could be up to 10 novels.
Time gave so little time. So sad to hear about his passing.

WOW, he wasn't really all that old, ?
His name sounded familiar and then I remembered that I had read one book by him, years and years ago. It was in a Russian translation and the name was something like The Sky Atlas. Unfortunately I remember next to nothing about the plot.
