Kudos on your funny post this morning. By the way, I've been following the lively back & forth between Uemarasan and Salixacaena. I hadn't made the connection earlier, but I'm now guessing Salixacaena is the same guy I used to argue with regarding his puffed up Nobel Prize prognostications. Anyhow, both of these guys have the ability to liven up things with their snarky posts, don't you think?

I wasn't ignoring your question. I literally just stumbled on this comment. Apologies for the late response. Actually, I disagree. I think their ad hominem attacks are out of place on a public board. If I were visiting, this kind of stuff would turn me off completely. They can say what they want to in private. I think it's very out of place.
But then, it stopped. So I guess we're okay til next time.
I am a writer from Sindh province of Pakistan. I am writing in different formats of literature but Prose Poetry is specifically my identity. I want to share my poetry (Prose Poems)
Why the angry response?

Probably a good idea to wait a bit, but even some time later, I still can't believe he made the comment.

Couldn't wait; tried to be diplomatic-ish.

Just read it. I think you found the right balance. I also think short and direct was the right approach. Hopefully, you gave him something to think about. It will be interesting to see how he responds.
Good Morning, I am looking for something to read. I thought I would give Shirley Hazzard a try. What is your favorite Shirley Hazzard novel? I have had really good luck with your recommendations.
Thanks, Janet

Thank you for a lovely compliment, Janet! It has made my Friday morning :)
My favorite book by Hazzard is "The Great Fire." I think it is one of the greatest novels of the new century. Let me know how you like it, if you ever get to it!! :)
Feliz aniversário, Bartleby! Que esse novo ano pessoal seja melhor que o anterior, com muita SAÚDE, muitas realizações e muitas e muitas descobertas literárias!

Sorry Martino, saw your post just now. I don´t know neither. My most recent Italian references are Italo Calvino and Umberto Eco
A question in your nerves is lit
Yet you know there is no answer fit
To satisfy, insure you not to quit
To keep it in your mind and not forget
That it is not he or she or them or it
That you belong to
You lose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling distant voice, unclear
Startles your sleeping ears to hear
That somebody thinks they really found you
"Vivamus moriendum est"--As Seneca says , let us all live since we must die.
Mortality haunts us throughout our lives..."Nascentes morimur". The question that therefore haunts us all our lives is that which haunted Hamlet " to be or not to be?".
The answer to this question can be sought in religion, philosophy or literature.
Hello,

Yes, Miriring, I'd like that essay. You could send it to miguel0098@hotmail.com.
