I have said this before, people: please check if a thread on a particular writer, book or (more infrequently) subject already exists before you post it,

This simple action will ensure that there are no duplicates and will greatly ease the job of moderators who already have their hands full handling spammers, advertisers, etc.

I'd also add to only create book posts in the geographical categories, sticking to the preferred format AUTHOR: TITLE.
Anything that doesn't fit that template will get moved to General Discussion.
