*Edit: Just realised In Ascension was in the longlist only; that was another one that picked my attention the most, together with the actual winner.
In Ascension was great. I've read the first couple of chapters of Prophet Song, which is around sixty pages So far it's not grabbed me. Usually with long paragraphs, with embedded dialogue, a la Bernhard, Sebald, Albahari, we're seeing an interiority ebb and flow, but with this book it's just long paragraphs of regular narrative.
