I think it's a difficult case. That novel is one of the desperate efforts by Homero Aridjis to win the novel prize.
Yeh, I certainly wouldn't have said it spoke to me of a writer whose body of work was likely to be Nobel worthy (though that being said, it didn't exclude the possibility that it might be)... I mean, it was well-written and harrowing, but it didn't speak to me at a deep level particularly. I've read nothing else by him (yet) so can't judge the rest.
Cc Cadet de l'Espace, si tu as 2 minutes, fais moi plaisir STP, et rejoins-moi après l'annonce du PNL sur CL, pour commenter le nouveau lauréat!..Oh, to sit in front of the screen and wait and wait and wait!!!

I will recommend to read one of his first and latest books, so you can see the problems with his writing.Yeh, I certainly wouldn't have said it spoke to me of a writer whose body of work was likely to be Nobel worthy (though that being said, it didn't exclude the possibility that it might be)... I'm more surprised at how many of them are guests. Only 41 members but 81 guests lol.
The forum will go private in a minute so they better register if they don't want to miss the announcement. We make it 10 minutes earlier than the Academy.I'm more surprised at how many of them are guests. Only 41 members but 81 guests lol.
A reminder to all that following the announcement this thread will be closed and a new thread for discussion of the winner will be created.
I think we will. The first one to do it will be rewarded with @Liam admin job.Let's hope this time around we mentioned the winner at least once in all these pages...
