I am fairly certain someone has been nominating Danielle Steel for the last 3 years in a row.
Not sure who that person might be, but to be fair, I've always heard war literature doesn't get much grittier than Danielle Steel's Message from Nam. ?

My mistake, I thought today was the last day to vote, and I can't wait to see the list, LOL.

Yeah I'm very excited to see the list as well. Was hoping Bartleby's cat would run over the keyboard and post it already ;)

If there are any mistakes in the lists above, please let me know ;)

As you can see, the three names with most points are:

Antonio Lobo Antunes 21
Jon Fosse 12
Scholastique Mukasonga 11

with Anne Carson coming close with 10 points.

We should think on whether to include Anne Carson already, or only if (the gods of Literature forbid), as happened last year, one of our shortlisted authors pass away...

Once we determine this (please vote on the poll on the top of the page!), I'll open (or not) a page of discussions for Carson.

That's it for now. I am really thankful to everyone for submitting their nominations! I hope we can have fun discussions about these writers' works :)
