Because equating cancel culture with Kristallnacht is, in my opinion not only offensive but fundamentally devalues the Holocaust.

We're on the same page then. I thought the emoji might be in response to my eye-rolling, but I also couldn't imagine you condoning what Benny wrote. I should have responded with some words to challenge his comment, but I figured less would be more and I also didn't think I'd make any headway with him, anyway.

Also, I often struggle to understand Benny's posts and trying to decipher whether the problems stem from his writing in a second language, his immaturity, or his politics.

My suspicion is it's immaturity. But I find it offensive in the extreme. I'm not posting yet until I cool down a bit; I don't quite trust what I might write at this point.
