Humans created AI, so it's funny to see ourselves compete with ourselves, but that being said, this is pathetic. Let's award prizes to books written by human beings about human beings? A novel written by AI, alright, interesting, gimmicky, but how long is it going to take for this to get old? The whole purpose of art is to explore our shared humanity and I'm just not convinced that artificial intelligence is any good with that, ?‍

This concerns me, but at the very least, the author was honest about her use of AI. I'm wondering how many authors haven't been.

I don't like this. I don't like this at all. For me, the Akutagawa committee should withdraw her award.
