Premio Princesa de Asturias de las Letras

A very localist, insular award this time. I think, outside Spain no one know who this guy is.
Well, "localist" and "insular" are not necessarily bad, it all depends on the quality of the work, doesn't it? Halldor Laxness is both pretty "localist" and pretty "insular" (literally, since Iceland is an island, LOL), but his work is incredibly universal and diverse, as well as of the highest quality. I say this without knowing anything about this Juan Mayorga though--I'd be interested to check him out just to see if he's any good, :)

Considering princess of Asturias is 18, this is maybe her own selection :ROFLMAO:

I don't know, I haven't read much of him, but I haven't got an impression that he is that good.
He is a very solid writer. As I said, perfect for precocious high schoolers, I feel bad I haven't read him then, maybe he would be my life-long favourite.
