Yang Mu (1940-2020)

Taiwanese poet Yang Mu died almost a month ago, and I just knew about it today. I've only read him in English translation (very academic ones, by the way, but he was an academic himself, so no idea how that influences the process of translation), through "No Trace of the Gardener", a very generous collection of his verse. Sad to realize that even if we are always online, culturally we are still apart from one another, and the death of a poet can remain unnoticed for so long to his readers.

I think the main problem is not his death being unnoticed but his poetry. I don't think we have ever mentioned him in this forum and we're some kind of lit freaks.
