I'm not familiar with those names too.

I thank you so much for sharing of this prize (I've never heard of it before).

I'm very interest in Sarah Abrevaya Stein's works. She studies the history of Sephardi Jews and the holocaust of ladinos and marranos (jews from Iberia - Spain and Portugal).
As I have sepharadi (or sephardi) heritage, I was very interested in her researches about it.

I recognize the names of Nicole Krauss (fairly well-known active novelist whose most recent book was published last year) and Tamar Yellin (obscure and purely by chance I know her name; she appears to have written three books in three years, the most recent of which was published in 2008 and then never again). The others are all unknown to me which, sad to say, makes me wonder about the prize....
