The New York Times has a very interesting story today (March 10, 2022) entitled "An Urgent Misson for Literary Translators: Bringing Ukrainian Voices to the West." Frankly, this would be a very timely article even if nothing was happening in Ukraine. I have long been interested in literature from Eastern/Central Europe and the former USSR (partly based on family roots and partly based on professional involvement and partly based on travel there) and the number of Ukrainian books in my library has always been small. For anyone interested, highly recommended. (And if, as would not surprise me, they've placed it behind a paywall, just send me a note and I will send you the article.)
